About Me

Massachusetts, United States
I am 41 years old. I have been married to my husband for 15 years. We have a son who was born in April 1996. We live in Central Massachusetts with our dog Maggie (a black lab we adopted from the animal rescue league) and our cat Sam (a stray that adopted us) I graduated from college with a BFA in Theatre in 1993 (hence the name) and for a few years pursued a career as an actress. Then life took over and I got married, had a baby and decided to get a "real" job. In November 2004, I was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson's disease. In December 2004, I was hospitalized for surgery to remove an ectopic pregnancy. In December 2009, I was laid off from my job. In June 2010, my son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at the age of 14. Stick around to see what happens next!

Ending Week 2

Week 2 is coming to an end. I start next level of meds tomorrow. Then that brings me to the top level.

I did seem to adjust to the meds again this week. By Monday I was feeling myself again.

Aunt Flo is due to pay me a visit any minute so I am feeling rather crappy b/c of that plus it always makes my symptoms worse so I am a bit more stiff and un-coordinated today.

B finishes school this Friday. His "graduation" ceremony is Thursday morning. I can not believe he is finished with elementry school. He'll be in middle school next year. He is growing up so fast. I am trying to remind myself to enjoy this time with him. He is already showing signs of being a hormonal teenager. Mood swings...OMG!!

The Creative Craft Daytime Emmy's are this Thursday night. P is not going b/c of B's graduation. However, it is being broadcast on the Web live. Of course that means watching it at 10pm...but we'll probably stay up to watch. The sucky thing is if they win they only get one statue this year. Stupid Emmy people decided to cut back this year. If you want your own emmy, you need to buy it. (such as in this case where when a show wins there is more than one person who actually wins). He's not suer if he'll buy one or not. Apparently they are going to be rather expensive. We'll see... His odds are pretty good he'll win, being he is nominated in 4 out of the 5 in his catagory.

It's been a pretty quiet time for us lately. And, I think the summer is going to stay that way. The weekend of the 23rd we are hoping to travel to NJ to see my cousin & extended family. They are having a 1st birthday party for their son who they adopted last year. Then I am hoping we get to see my BFF. She only lives an hour from my cousin's house. We could drive there and stay the night and then leave Sun afternoon. It would be a quick visit but it would be so amazing to see her & her family. It's been over 3 years since I have seen her in person. We email & talk pretty regularly but I have not physically seen her in years. I hope it works out.

Anyhoo, back to work for me. Overall, despite major PMS, I am feeling pretty good. Cranky but good.

Toodles.
